The journey to be a green thumb

"However many years she lived, Mary always felt that 'she should never forget that first morning when her garden began to grow'." - Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

I always thought I had a 'black thumb', that no plant would ever thrive under my care. Not that I ever tried my hand at it.

Then, a couple of months ago, I started watering a couple of anthurium plants in the shaded balcony of my bedroom to get some morning 'exercise', while sipping my cup of coffee, of course. After about a couple of weeks of that short morning ritual, I noticed a tiny delicate red anthurium bract starting to bloom. Oh, how fascinating! My first ever bloom.

That was the moment I realized that I don't kills plants at all.

Welcome to my gardening blog. I am definitely a novice, so bear with me.
